アルバム「Ten～天」の曲作りの段階でruiがこの曲を送ってきたときはワクワクした。メロディは超好きだったし、それまでfadeの曲になかったビートとダンスアブルなグルーヴは凄くかっこいいと思った。仕上げてる内にアレンジがどんどん曲の良さを上げてくれた。その上に歌録りの直前にruiが書いた歌詞は今でも強く共感出来るし、歌う度にグッとくる。

PVも格好いい！初めてライブ映像をメインに使ったPVだからこの曲の良さはより伝わるじゃないかと思う。使われてるのは約2年前のワンマン @ 渋谷WWW と 初ライブ in NEW YORK @ Webster Hallの映像で、今振り返るとカナリ思い出深い。
When rui came up with this song during the writing phase for our album "天～Ten" I was stoked. Not only was the melody great, but it had a beat and danceable groove that we'd never incorporated into our songs.
Over the next few months, the arrangement took the song to a whole new level of coolness.
The icing on the cake was rui's lyric that he wrote just before I recorded the vocals.
Something about it still hits me every time we play this song at a show.

The music video for "Ever Free"
is also AWESOME!
It was the first time we ever used live footage in one of our MVs,
and I think it really shows the different layers of the song.
Looking over the the footage now from our 1st solo show @ SHIBUYA WWW & our 1st show in NEW YORK CITY @ Webster Hall
roughly 2 years ago really brings back a ton of great memories.
