A trip to the Galapagos Islands

I'll talk about when I went to on a trip to the Galapagos Islands.

I learned about the Galapagos Islands from an English textbook when I was a high school student.

Because I liked animals, I thought that one day I would like to go to ~~that~~ those islands.

But I thought that the islands are so far from Japan that I couldn't go.

But I moved to California, so I got a chance!

And finally I was able to go to the Galapagos Islands!!

There were a lot of animals in the Galapagos Islands, more than I thought.

I could see a lot of Sea Lions, Giant Tortoises, Marine Iguanas, Lava Lizards, and Darwin’s Finches easily.

I could see those animals ~~near~~ incredibly close.

(But be careful! There are rules that you should not approach animals ~~more~~ closer than 2 meters.)

When I was snorkeling at in the sea, sea lions and sea turtles swam together.

I was able to take pictures with a very big Giant Tortoise.

When I went to the beach, I could find lots of Marine Iguanas.

It was about one week's ~~journey~~ stay/trip, I had a dreamlike time.

One thing I regret was that I couldn’t see the wild penguins.

I went in April but ｔhey could be seen from July.

The Galapagos Islands are hot because it's under the equator, but the penguins can live there thanks to the cold ocean currents.

I came to like the Blue-footed Booby that I saw on North Seymour island, so I bought a lot of ~~souvenirs of it's figurine~~ figurines as souvenirs.

And I made stickers with illustrations of animals living in Galapagos.

The trip of to the Galapagos is an unforgettable memory of my life!
